Abstract: |
Six trenches were excavated, all 2m. squared; the evaluation recorded a north-east to south-west orientated Roman ditch and all features found were of post-medieval date and heavily truncated all earlier deposits. The presence of a sherd of Saxon pottery from Trench Six suggested activity within the immediate area. [Au(adp)] |
