Abstract: |
Only two archaeological features of any particular significance were observed in two of the ten evaluation trenches excavated across the site. It would appear that the site lay outside the area of more concentrated Romano-British occupation activity recorded to the north and the northwest. Only a few very small and abraded sherds of Romano-British pottery were recovered from the deposits on site and could be broadly dated to the 2nd-4th century AD. [Au(abr)] |
