Abstract: |
An excavation was carried out on the site prior to redevelopment. The earliest feature encountered was a Saxon burial. The next was a series of post built clay wall structures dating from the 11th-14th century. Evidence supported that these burnt down in 1608. Further buildings were built on the site and were eventually replaced by a 19th century warehouse. [Au(abr)] |
