Abstract: |
The evaluation recorded very little evidence of significant archaeological activity on the site. A linear feature appeared to have been caused by a combination of a former post-medieval field boundary and an infilled modern road. A linear stone spread located south of the plateau was interpreted as a previously unrecorded post-medieval path or trackway. A small assemblage of prehistoric flint and Romano-British pottery was recovered during the evaluation but this appeared to be residual material, disturbed and re-deposited by later, mainly agricultural, activity.
