Abstract: |
Evidence collated by the assessment suggested that the area was likely to have been within an accessible intertidal zone at certain periods within the fluvial regimes of the Thames. Landfill deposits may have covered deposits within which prehistoric and Roman material may have survived. The limited archaeological study of this area had produced material of these periods. It could be demonstrated that the intended development works would see little or no disturbance at depth to any alluvial deposits within which any archaeological deposits may have survived.
