Abstract: |
The evaluation recorded a ditch and pit dating to the 12th-14th century, and an early post-medieval ditch or linear probably within an area of burgage plots extending from Bartholomew Road. During the post-medieval period a soil layer accumulated over the site. This was cut by an undated ditch and a 19th century brick-lined well in the southern part of the site. The remnants of a 19th century building with cellar/basement area were revealed in the western part of the site. [Au(adp)] |
