Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the installation of external security floodlighting within the Scheduled Ancient Monument of Museum Gardens. The work confirmed the shallow depth of the deposits, and the discovery of a possible wall foundation of presumed medieval date at the entrance to the Gardens may indicate that the Abbey service buildings extended further south than was originally thought. Other stretches of wall were located, which may also belong to service ranges of the Abbey. [Au(abr)] |
