Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of service trenches and drains in the immediate proximity of the main house at Lord Knyvett's School; the planning permission was subject to conditions relating to Scheduled Monument Consent. The shallow depth and narrow width of the excavated trenches rendered it difficult to observe any archaeological finds or features, and it was considered improbable that the minimal ground disturbance would affect archaeological deposits. The watching brief was therefore discontinued. [Au(adp)] |
