Abstract: |
An evaluation, comprising the excavation of two targetted trenches, was undertaken within a plot of land known as the Roses. This followed a geophysical survey on the site. A boundary ditch identified in trench 1 contained pottery possibly as late as 17th century in date. Trench 2 contained a group of pits and gullies recorded as a possible ferrous anomaly during the geophysical survey. The later gullie were contemporary with the boundary ditch, whilst the pit was 13th-14th century in date. [Au] |
