The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A desk-based assessment in response to proposals to extend the quarry revealed 19 sites in or immediately adjacent to the site that would be affected by the works. Most of these were Iron Age or Roman land divisions and settlement features, as well as a possible Roman temple of national importance. A Neolithic flint flake had been found, but was not in itself indicative of settlement. Medieval cultivation activity was evident. Archaeological recording was recommended in order to preserve any significant archaeological remains. [Au(adp)]
