Abstract: |
Observation of foundation trenches revealed a well compacted clay floor surface lying c.1.4m below present ground level. Pottery within the deposit suggested later medieval (14/15th century) date. Excavation of a slot through the deposit revealed another probable surface and further medieval pottery, oyster shell, mammal and fish bone. [Au] |
