Abstract: |
Two evaluation trenches were excavated. No significant archaeological deposits or features were encountered. However in one trench close to the frontage of Front Street natural subsoil was not encountered due to excessive depth of eighteenth to twentieth century soil make-up layers and therefore the potential for earlier archaeological remains was present. Also an archaeological industrial feature was observed (May 2002) in the section of a cutting for the new car park, south of the new health centre. [Au(abr)] |
