Abstract: |
An intermittent watching brief was undertaken during groundworks at the site, which was situated in an area of the town which contained many historic buildings. Much of the site was chemically contaminated and those areas were not monitored. The observations produced a small assemblage of clay tobacco pipes from the topsoil. No archaeological features or deposits were observed. [Au] |
