Abstract: |
The site was evaluated in January 2004. Owing to problems with very recent landscaping, the presence of buried services and the need to keep a route open for emergency services, only two 10m evaluation trenches were eventually excavated. Both were located within modern earthworks and resulted from recent building work at the hospital, resulting in trench depths in excess of 2m before the underlying natural subsoils were encountered. No archaeological features were observed and no artefacts were recovered from the overburden. [Au(adp)] |
