Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out in advance of the proposed construction of a new phosphate removal unit. Two trial trenches were excavated to a cumulative length of 5.5m. The trenches were targeted over the two areas directly affected by the proposed development. No archaeological features were discovered in the trenches. A watching brief was also maintained during the ground reduction in advance of the construction of a temporary road surface. These excavations only reached the topsoil and therefore did not impact on any potential archaeological deposits. [Au(adp)] |
