Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation of land at Ducks Meadow, Marlborough was carried out by Cotswold Archaeological Trust in November 1997. Eleven trenches were dug and archaeological material was recovered from three towards the south-east corner of the site, in the form of Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age pottery and flint, within pits and possible post holes. No evidence was found of the nearby medieval priory, although this had initially been considered a possibility. [Au(abr)] |
