Abstract: |
<summary>A detailed study was undertaken of the exposed length of Roman town wall, situated within the Abbey Grounds, which was recognised as being in a serious state of decay. Documentary and archive research, topographic survey of the existing wall, and an assessment of the condition of the standing remains was undertaken. Three options for future management were discussed: re-burial of the site; consolidation and display of the existing structure; and complete reconstruction of the exposed section. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
