Abstract: |
The assessment of the area designated for the River Chelt Flood Alleviation Scheme contained sites and monuments which were grouped into 7 areas of interest. These include: the 19th century buildings of Lower Alstone Mill - an area in which palaeolithic finds have been made, as well as Romano-British burials and the site of Barratt's Mill (first recorded in the 9th century).\n |
