Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during groundwork's. An assemblage of late medieval and post-medieval artefacts were recovered during the manual removal of the overburden. This work also revealed the presence of a number of underlying archaeological features, including wall lines, and a small square structure. Some investigation was undertaken when raft footing and service trenches impacted upon the archaeological remains was not possible, as these were beneath the groundwork impact level and would survive in situ. Consequently, no further exploratory work was undertaken. [Au(abr)] |
