Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken on earth moving operations associated with the erection of a bungalow. While the bungalow site proved to have been partially disturbed in the recent past and produced no evidence for past activity, associated landscaping did reveal two or three features of Roman date. One of these features was of particular interest as it contained the fragmentary remains of a large pot of mid to late first century date. This may have been re-used as a container or oven when set on its side in the ground. [Au(abr)] |
