Abstract: |
A watching brief during pipelaying confirmed the probable settlement sites discovered through earlier fieldwalking. Concentrations of flints suggested prehistoric activity there, whilst excavation of a spread of material revealed by topsoil stripping came from activity during the later Bronze Age and medieval periods.
