Abstract: |
During the evaluation, large-scale post-medieval disturbance associated with coal mining was revealed. Features included a mine shaft, a large pit and a stakehole, whilst layers of redeposited material were also noted. It was concluded that the post-medieval activity on the promontory would have destroyed any potential evidence of earlier occupation. [AIP] |
