Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of foundations in a site which lay within an area of known archaeological potential, lying between the two major roads approaching the city from the south (Fosse Way and Ermine Street). It was apparent that preserved archaeological features were present at the eastern side of the site, however, it was not possible to determine the period, or periods, of occupation and activity represented by these features, or their function.
