Abstract: |
Archaeological observation of five trial holes on Stoneleigh Bridge, A Scheduled Ancient Monument, designed to locate services and the extent of the arches, revealed little structural information either about the medieval morthern side of the bridge or the 1844 widening to the south. No early road surfaces had survived. [Au(adp)] |
