Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out following a geophysical survey. The previous geophysical survey identified linear features which were confirmed to be mainly natural in origin by the evaluation. One single archaeological feature was identified consisting of a post-medieval drain. A single medieval pottery sherd was likely to have been derived from agricultural manuring. The potential for the survival of extensive and well preserved archaeological remains within the development area was considered to be low, and as such the proposed development was not considered to have any significant impact upon the archaeological resource of the area.
