Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken in advance of a residential extension. The house was located within the boundaries of the Scheduled Ancient Monument of the Saxon burgh settlement within the town walls. Two alluvial deposits were encountered, cut by a ditch and containing both early and late Roman pottery. [Au(abr)] |
