Abstract: |
<summary>Evaluation - comprising geophysical survey and targeted-trenching - to the rear of 14 Rotton Row, on land forming part of Scheduled Ancient Monument 11507, revealed extensive settlement evidence of Saxon and medieval date, including features such as post holes and ditches. Over the western area of the site the features were sealed beneath an old soil layer, possibly of medieval origin. Some of the ditches discovered may be associated with similar boundary features found immediately to the north of the site during previous large-scale excavations at Langham Road. {italon}Sec(adp)(10c){italoff} |
