Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the erection of a delicatessen shop and Tapas Cafe bar on the site. During the demolition of existing buildings on the site a stone-built cellar and an animal byre surface comprising stone setts were encountered. A property-boundary wall foundation was also exposed. These features were thought to have dated to the Early Modern or Modern period. No further archaeological remains were evident. [Au(abr)] |
