Abstract: |
A desk top assessment of the proposed route of an overhead electric cable was undertaken. Neolithic and Bronze Age remains, Romano-British buildings and early medieval cemeteries had been recorded in the surrounding area. The general settlement pattern in the vicinity of the route had been established during the medieval period. Several pole construction sites with archaeological potential were recommended for excavation or archaeological recording. [AIP] |
