Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on the site. A line of upright timbers set along the River Nene and into a infilled palaeochannel containing 13th century artefacts were identified. The timbers may have formed a protective structure for a bridgehead or a wharf. The timbers were sealed by 15th century deposits. [Au(abr)] |
