Abstract:
The proposed pipeline route ran through an area of considerable archaeological potential. Although no known sites were recorded, the area in general was archaeologically rich. The northern part of the route was thought to have suffered severe truncation, in contrast to the southern part that remained relatively undeveloped. The topographical zones traversed were likely to have been favoured for human activity since early prehistory. [Au(adp)]
