Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a pipe trench associated with the conversion of barns, at a farm which lay adjacent to the sites of a Cluniac priory and a motte and bailey castle. The latter was a SAM. During the watching brief, no archaeological features or artefacts were observed. It was noted that modern activity seemed to have destroyed any potential archaeological remains. [AIP] |
