Abstract:
<summary>A magnetometer survey was undertaken on behalf of the Forestry Commission on land to the rear of Brigstock Old Camp to locate areas of iron-smelting. Significant anomalies were detected in two locations, both of which were associated with surface scatters of tap-slag of unknown date. In each case a simple spade-cut into the topsoil revealed no underlying archaeological features. {italon}Sec(abr/adp)(10c){italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} SN2532
