Abstract: |
<summary>Archaeological investigation of part of Berry Hill Close, Culworth required for burial purposes revealed the remains of a middle Iron Age enclosure. None of the recorded features survived above the natural ironstone and the only overlying stratification was a thick layer of subsoil of agricultural origin. The lack of evidence of Saxon and medieval occupation is particularly noticeable, given the proximity of a ringwork (Scheduled Ancient Monument, Northamptonshire 26) of the period. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
