Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment identified that parts of the route would cut through made ground in several areas, notably at Red Hill, close to a previously identified Mesolithic and Neolithic site, and at Mile Oak Farm, near known Bronze Age settlement and activity. Several other areas, topographically suitable as locations for similar sites, or sites of Iron Age or Romano-British date, were identified. The potential for recovering material from the Anglo-Saxon and medieval periods was considered to be low. [Au(abr)] |
