Abstract: |
Monitoring of earth moving operations for the construction of an agricultural reservoir did not revealed any evidence for settlement activity of Saxon or medieval date. However, a small scattering of prehistoric worked flints were located indicating activity of Neolithic or Bronze Age date. No archaeological features of prehistoric date were recorded on the site.
