Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment of the archaeological potential of a small site off Ridingleaze, Lawrence Weston was undertaken. It was necessitated by a proposal to construct an extension onto the front of the present building on the site. High quality Romano-British activity had been recorded in the area of the assessment and as a result the archaeological potential for the site was regarded as high, and potentially of regional archaeological importance.
