Abstract: |
Evidence for Middle Saxon occupation was found over most of the site, with occupation being densest to the east. This perhaps reflected a difference in land use, and possibly of land ownership. No certain evidence for medieval activity was found apart from a few stray finds. Evidence for post-medieval activity included a large pit and the filling of a possible boundary ditch to St. Mary's Churchyard. [Au(abr)] |
