Abstract: |
A watching brief during the construction of a water pipeline revealed a number of archaeological sites and finds along the route. These included a ditch containing Roman pottery sherds; an accumulation of 78 sherds of early Bronze Age pottery; sherds of medieval and post-medieval pottery; a back-filled medieval ditch; worked flints of Neolithic/Bronze Age date; and a broad linear depression possibly representing part of a boundary ditch.
