Abstract: |
The assessment was undertaken prior to the large-scale topsoil stripping of the site. The investigation showed that the village was dated to around the 11th century, with continuous settlement activity since then. Previous finds recovered from the area were dated to the late prehistoric period and the Roman period. A possible Roman road was thought to be located near the site. [AIP] |
