Abstract:
The cartographic evidence suggested that the site lay within an area of fields up until between 1934 and 1963, when a public house was constructed. As the area in which the site was located had been subject to ground levelling works and the development proposal respected the limits of the existing developed area, it was considered highly unlikely that the redevelopment would encounter archaeological remains.
