Abstract: |
The deskbased assessment and field walking was undertaken on a site prior to the possible expansion of Andover. The study zone incorporated a field which was sloped and heavily ploughed from the medieval period. No finds were recovered during the process of on-site investigation although the area of soil exposed during this time was limited. The lack of previous finds from the field and the dearth of evidence from aerial photography suggested that it may be devoid of archaeological evidence although the immediate landscape was rich in prehistoric and Roman remains.
