Abstract: |
An excavation was undertaken following the results of an evaluation undertaken at R.A.F. Wattisham, in response to housing development. Expected Roman and medieval features were recovered but also an unexpected prehistoric phase of occupation was revealed. This site has produced evidence of human activity from the Neolithic, Early Bronze Age, early Roman and medieval periods. The site seems to have been on the periphery of small rural farming communities or a single family farmstead. [Au(abr)] |
