Abstract: |
<summary>Archaeological recording was undertaken following the lifting of the floor in the main hall of the rectory for the insertion of under-floor heating. A stone floor and rubble below had been removed, a single sherd of buff stoneware recovered, and the stone footings of the hall superstructure revealed on three sides. A large stone slab, believed to have been a remnant of an open fireplace, had also been recovered. Two lenses of what seemed to be decayed timber were identified below the make-up deposits for the modern floor and possibly represented earlier floor levels. {italon}AIP{italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} GLOS13977 |
