Abstract: |
A watching brief was held over the excavation of widely-dispersed engineering test-pits and boreholes in the area between Above Bar Street and Portland Terrace. Probable cellars of post-medieval date were observed along with a single deposit of archaeological interest. Modern deposits and disturbance, and natural deposits were also recorded. It was considered that further investigations were likely to be necessary to furnish adequate data for evaluation. [Au(adp)] |
