The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An archaeological desk-based assessment was carried out. Evidence of a pre-17th century river frontage might be encountered, which could have incorporated medieval and/or Roman port and dock features. Evidence from the process of reclamation and consolidation of the river front from at least the 18th century onwards could be encountered. Also possible evidence from the occupation of the site by shipbuilding in the area during the 19th and 20th centuries was likely to have been encountered. No extant structures existed on site, but a large graving dock constructed in 1955 had been backfilled in the northern area of the site. [Au(adp)]
