The watching brief was carried out during the demolition of the modern buildings standing on the site and during the construction of foundations for the new development. No deposits of archaeological significance were noted during any of the development work, it is likely that previously identified cartographic evidence for 18th century farm buildings and a house on site, were destroyed by construction of the 20th century buildings.
