Abstract: |
No structural remains were discovered during the investigation although there were substantial areas which were not thoroughly examined. Features revealed included gullies, intercutting pits and a possible pit or which probably represented agricultural activity. A single sherd of Saxo-Norman pottery was found in one of the pits. The other features remained undated and their relationships unknown. A large amount of unstratified sherds of pottery were recovered from the spoilheaps and suggested 11th century activity in the area. A single, unstratified struck flint indicated prehistoric activity in the vicinity. [Au(adp)] |
