Abstract: |
A geophysical survey assessment was carried out on the site of a proposed hotel development. A rapid scan over all the accessible parts of the proposal area indicated that much of the site contained a significant quantity of magnetic debris. Such materials appeared to have been especially concentrated along roadways, paths and in the vicinity of the club house and tennis courts. Owing to the prevalence of 'noisy' magnetic terrain, it was decided that a detailed, gridded magnetic survey would not have been productive in this instance. Further trial trenching was recommended.
