Abstract: |
Prior to the commencement of the excavation of the pipeline trench it was considered quite possible that archaeological deposits would be disturbed due to the development's proximity to Iron Age and Romano-British settlements amd an Anglo-Saxon/medieval village. However, the fact that the site comprised a modern tarmac road it became obvious that any archaeological deposits or features had been destroyed during the road construction. [AIP] |
